We are a small committee consisting mainly of parents which started up in September 2007. In our first year we raised £3,000 for the school from events such as cake stalls, discos, table top sale and film night, finishing the year with a hugely successful Barn Dance & BBQ on the school field in July. This was so popular that we have been asked to make it an annual event! After consulting with the children, it was decided to buy a “trim trail” which was installed in September 2008 and has given the children great enjoyment.

This year has started well and so far we have had a ladies fashion show, a bag2school collection and an art project called “Funmats”. We are currently liaising with the School's Council to decide our focus for fundraising this year.

We couldn't of course manage all this without the support of our parents and teachers to whom we are very grateful. For a small school, our fundraising efforts have been very successful and the committee are delighted with what we have achieved so far. As a committee we have become a group of good friends and have had fun planning and carrying out all the activities. We are always happy to welcome any new members who would like to join us. Throughout the rest of this school year we are looking forward to many more events including a children's fashion show in the spring and another barn dance in the Summer.
