Hanslope Recorder Club

THE TOOTING CLUB GO LIVE AT LINFORD ARENA

The Tooting Club’s first performance was on the 18th March.  23 members attend rehearsals on Tuesday lunchtimes. All the members are from KS2.

At the performance we all played:

Wet and Windy Dublin Dan
Razza Sazza EBGB’s
Mike Oliver Daisy Chain

8 pupils in Year 5 played their own piece, Frere Jaques.

The group consisted of: Millie Collins and Robyn Davies singing, Jess Lalor, Millie Ray Morley, Ellie Ward, Halliday Hemmings and Rebecca Lawrence playing the recorder. Finally, Alicia Flach playing the xylophone.

We asked Millie Collins what her favourite part of the concert was, she answered, “my favourite part was playing’ Dublin Dan’.”

We asked some KS1 children how we could improve, they said, “we could practise even more, but we were good already”

Later we asked another child, what she liked best about the recorder club?

She answered, ”I liked it best when they played the EBGB’s.

“After only a few weeks working together, the group were fantastic,” said Ms Schofield, their recorder teacher.
